SafeCare can support governments and regulators with the building blocks they need to create a standards-based model for healthcare quality. The building blocks can be adapted and adopted according to local needs and provide data on quality and risks that can support steps towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC), or to achieve other healthcare-related objectives.
tailored support
Since each country is at a different stage of their journey to institutionalize quality care, SafeCare offers support with a customizable approach. Often, resource-restricted regions struggle to gain a clear overview of quality gaps, the needs of certain regions, or the methods to standardize quality improvement. We can supplement the work already in progress, and offer our tools and platform in a ‘white label’ version that can be used under the country’s own brand. In this way, our tools and the data insights can provide essential support for a country’s efforts, without the need to use multiple platforms or systems.

standards
Our ISQua–accredited standards are applicable to facilities of any size, and cover both clinical and non-clinical aspects of care.

methodology
The only quality certification that is not pass/fail, the SafeCare methodology is stepwise, motivational, and data-driven.
platform
Offering interactive and real-time access to data and support, the Quality Platform is key to benchmarking and monitoring.
unparalleled insights
One key challenge is the often-existing gap in quality data of facilities. This gap impairs decision-making and policy development. By tapping into SafeCare’s actionable data insights and integrating it with their own, governments can gain a more complete view of healthcare quality in their country.
This is particularly relevant when it comes to smaller, rural facilities, for which collecting data is often difficult. SafeCare can supplement a country’s own data with insights from these smaller facilities. This not only supports more informed decision-making and more efficient resource allocation, but also provides some of the building blocks for the country’s overall quality model.

sustainable develOPMENT
SafeCare aims to support public partners to manage and drive their own quality model in the long term. Starting with an initial investment of time and resources to set up a partnership that meets a public partner’s goals, we learn and scale the partnership together, based on our public partner’s specific needs. We provide tailored capacity-building and software support, and also help integrate new topic modules, such as Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) or Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), as the healthcare quality model evolves. If adjustments, further training, and support are needed, these can always be provided.
digital acceleration
In addition to providing a set of accredited and customizable standards to measure and improve healthcare quality, SafeCare provides the digital tools to make the process streamlined, trackable, shareable, and scalable. Through our Quality Platform, public partners can have a single, online place to review and evaluate data, track progress and steer improvement. The tools and insights available on the platform also enable benchmarking and regional comparisons that provide real-time insights to target training, resource allocation, and interventions.
